Having just set up my business here's my first blog post, I've never thought of myself as a blogger but I now see it can be a very useful virtual sketchbook of sorts, which others can interact with.
I'm really enjoying the first throngs of setting up a small business, if not still a little nervous! The original idea for becoming a paper flower artist started really two years ago, when I did the flowers for my own wedding, back then I made roses from recycled book pages and arranged them among dry flowers. It was really lovely as most of our guests took one away as a small gift, and it's so nice going to friend's homes and revisiting the memories of a very special day, all through a little handmade rose.
After this I was pretty much hooked! Another friend asked me to make her wedding flowers (pictures are in my gallery).
So here I find myself embarking upon this very frightening, invigorating, inspiring journey, I've just completed two custom orders after only being online for a couple of weeks, and am very pleased with the results.
Now that I've finished them I'm finding myself in a world of muddling through learning about online promotion and basically being an artist, which is something I've always wanted to do.
Anyway thank you for checking out my blog, and I'll be back on here for more rambles soon, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
